With the commencement of the 2024 AFL and SANFL seasons, Adelaide Oval is giving you the opportunity to go behind the scenes and delve into the history of Australian Football.
Join us for a 90-minute walking tour and hear stories about the football legends. See history come to life with a walk through Magarey Grove, and get a front row seat to where the coaches make the big decisions, where the player’s prepare, and where the media report on the excitement of the day.

Do you have great communication skills and can spare three hours per week on a weekend or after hours to volunteer?
Get involved with Adelaide Oval and become an Adelaide Oval Ambassador – register your interest and we will contact you ahead of our next intake. We officially recruit two-three times per year and are always looking for passionate people to join our wonderful team!
Adelaide Oval Ambassadors are essential to ensuring this iconic, world class stadium can be experienced and enjoyed by visitors from near and far throughout the year.
Frequently Asked Questions
Standard tours operate daily at 11am and 2pm. Prices start at $17.
Adelaide Oval Football Members and South Australian Cricket Association Members are admitted to standard tours free of charge on presentation of their membership card. Bookings are required.

Adelaide Oval Tours are guided walking tours which cover up to 2.5km on foot and may include the use of steps, stairs, escalators and elevators. All areas on the tour, with the exception of the heritage listed scoreboard, are accessible by wheelchair and walking aids.

Wear comfortable clothes and flat shoes suitable for walking long distances. In the cooler months be sure to dress warm and bring a jacket. You can bring a water bottle, we also have water fountains located around the stadium.
Our Stadium Concierge team have a limited number of umbrellas for public use, if required. Stiletto heels are not permitted inside the heritage listed scoreboard.
