Public Transport 

With the new Riverbank Bridge – and its connections to the Adelaide Railway Station, the tramline and a range of bus routes – catching public transport to the Adelaide Oval is easier than ever. Patrons are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this transport when attending matches during the 2015 AFL Season. A reminder that the Adelaide Oval Footy Express will again provide bus, train and tram services that are included in the price of a game day ticket.

Taking public transport to and from the stadium is strongly encouraged when attending events at Adelaide Oval.

Within the Adelaide CBD there are numerous car parking options:

With the main stadium works complete, the finishing touches are being applied to the Adelaide Oval redevelopment with renovations to the north parklands.  To enable this work the north parklands will be closed to car parking until late 2015. 

We apologise for the inconvenience this closure will cause, but remind you that the long-term benefit will be that the area will be more usable and attractive for Adelaide Oval patrons and the community to enjoy.

Road closures

To ensure the safe passage of patrons road closures will be put in place before and after events with an anticipated attendance of 35,000 and above.  

Speed restrictions

A 25kph speed restriction operates on North Tce (from Morphett St Bridge to King William St) to allow the safe passage of pedestrians and vehicles during the post-match period.

Access Information

  • Access-compliant car parks are available in the North Car Park and Torrens Parade Ground for all major events.  
  • Alternatively, disabled drop-off zones have been established on War Memorial Drive and King William Road

Access Car Parking Football Season 2015

Please note we are currently reviewing Access Car Parking areas for the 2015 football season. Once these areas are confirmed season car park holders from the 2014 football season will be contacted via email/post.

Renewal forms will be sent out in early December 2014 with all the relevant details.

If you did not have an access car park for the 2014 football season and would like to apply for a 2015 season pass please register your interest by emailing  Information will be sent out early December once it has been finalised. Please note access parking is limited.


Taxi ranks are located on the western side of King William Road; the southern side of Pennington Tce and the eastern side of Montefiore Rd.


Bike racks are located outside the North, South and East gates.
