Adelaide Oval is proudly managed by the Adelaide Oval Stadium Management Authority (AOSMA).

AOSMA is a joint venture company of the two entities responsible for growing and developing the codes of cricket and football in South Australia – the South Australian Cricket Association (SACA) and the South Australian National Football League (SANFL).

Adelaide Oval features state-of-the-art technology, including advanced lighting systems integrated into its iconic roof and the surrounding facade.

Hirers of Adelaide Oval have exclusive access to the stadium’s lighting system on their dedicated event days, as outlined in the Adelaide Oval Event Calendar. Please note that the calendar is subject to change.

There are limited opportunities to use the stadium lights for promotional purposes, offering positive media exposure and brand recognition. To preserve the unique appeal of the stadium lights, their use outside of event days will be restricted, ensuring the feature retains its special significance.

Policy

• Adelaide Oval will consider requests to use its feature stadium lighting for charitable and not-for-profit organisations that are promoting significant events or appeals which:
  • Are recognised within the State of South Australia and/or
  • Have national or international significance, as determined by Adelaide Oval and/or the State Government,
  • Have a charity activation in Adelaide on the requested date.
  • Have a well-recognised connection with the requested colour/s (noting that colours which are political, religious or sensitive in nature will be declined).
• Charities and NFPs wishing to apply for lighting use must submit their interest by Friday 12 December 2025 for the following year via the online application form. This form will be available 1 month prior – Wednesday 11 November 2025.
• Adelaide Oval will accommodate charitable/not-for-profit lighting requests for up to 30 days per year.
• Requests will be considered for one (1) night only.
• The granting of lighting rights is for a one-year period, and successful applicants may or may not be granted lighting rights in subsequent years.
• The distribution of lighting requests will aim for an even spread throughout the year.
• Any requests deemed political, religious, or sensitive in nature will be declined.
• Adelaide Oval reserves the right to accept or reject applications at its sole discretion.

Opportunity

• The stadium will typically be illuminated with no more than 2 colours in a fixed mode however a standard rainbow option is available upon request.
• The coloured lighting will encompass the roof and the facade surrounding the stadium’s exterior.
• Approved lighting requests will be honoured from dusk to 10:00pm on the approved day.

Applications

• Applications for the 2025 feature lighting program are now closed. Applications for 2026 feature lighting program will be open from Wednesday 12 November 2025 and close Friday 12 December 2025.
