Let’s team up for a cleaner, greener game day!

Adelaide Oval, supported by its Quayclean partnership, is moving to a four-bin waste management system around the stadium. Elevating the already rigorous back-of-house waste management process, that sees more than 85% diversion from landfill, this will see Adelaide Oval become one of only two tier-one stadiums in Australia pouring into fully compostable plastic cups.

We’ve ditched the single-use plastic cups for fully compostable “bio cup” plastic cups, which are composted by Jeffries Soil. These are the only items that should go in this bin, anything else will contaminate the contents and all be diverted to landfill.

YES: Eco-friendly “Bio Cups” go here.
NO: Anything else.

Cans, plastic bottles and flavoured milk cartons all get recycled by Scouts. Please don’t put any food, food containers, cups, wrappers or drink trays in here – it will contaminate the contents and all be diverted to landfill.

Scraps today, soil tomorrow – all organic waste is composted by Jeffries Soil. This includes all our cutlers, napkins, coffee cups, coffee lids and cardboard food packaging, which is all compostable – as well as food scraps. Please don’t put any packets, wrappers, drink trays, plastic bottles, plastic cups, cans or flavoured milk cartons in here – it will contaminate the contents and all be diverted to landfill.

YES: Food scraps, cutlery, napkins, coffee cups, coffee lids and cardboard food packaging.
NO: Packets, wrappers, drink trays, plastic bottles, plastic cups, cans or flavoured milk cartons.

Some items still have to go to landfill, including packets, wrappers, sauce packets and drink trays. Please ensure you only put them in this bin, so no other bins are contaminated and join the journey to the ‘last resort’ – landfill. Please don’t put any other items in this bin and add to landfill, all other items can take a different recycling or composting journey.
