ROund 5: Carlton v west coast

Adelaide Oval will host two games on Saturday as Carlton and West Coast Eagles battle it out in the early afternoon before Essendon and Melbourne play in the evening, with both matches to be ticketed separately.

Public Transport

Adelaide Oval Express Bus, Train and Tram services will be in operation. Free for AFL game ticket holders until the last service. More info at adelaidemetro.com.au

Parking

Public parking is available for $35 and is subject to capacity and weather.

In Use:

East (Enter via King William Road):

  • Open from 6:00am for hotel/event permits only

North (Enter via Pennington Tce):

  • Open from 6:00am for event permits/contractors only
  • Open from 10:30am for limited accessibility parking

Oval #2 (Enter via Montefiore Rd):

  • Open from 4:30pm for limited public parking (match #2 only)

University Lane (Enter via King William Rd):

  • Open from 10:30am for limited public parking

Torrens Parade Ground (Enter via Victoria Dr):

  • Open from 10:00am for public and accessibility parking

Road Closures

War Memorial Drive:

9:30am – 11:30pm

King William Road:

9:30am – 3:10pm (25km/h speed restriction)

3:10pm – 5:00pm (full closure for AO Express)

5:00pm – 9:30pm (25km/h speed restriction)

9:30pm – 11:30pm (full closure for AO Express)

Pennington Terrace:

3:10pm – 5:00pm

9:30pm – 11:30pm

North Terrace:

3:20pm – 5:00pm (Victoria Street to King William Road)

9:40pm – 11:30pm (Victoria Street to King William Road)

A portion of the footpath located between the pedestrian crossing and King William Road on the Southern side of War Memorial Drive will be closed from 6:00am Thursday 10 April until 11:30pm Sunday 13 April 2025.

Accessbility

Disability drop-off and pick up zones

For disability permit holders only, which can be applied for via Services SA. On event days zones can be located:

  • War Memorial Drive, out the front of Next Gen Health Clubs and Tennis SA, adjacent to Pinky Flat. This drop off zone must be accessed from the western side via Montefiore Road or Morphett Street Bridge.
  • King William Road, adjacent to the East Gate for north-bound traffic. For post-game access, enter via Sir Edwin Smith Avenue from the Kermode Street/Brougham Place intersections with your disability parking permit ready to gain entry through the roadblock.
