The 2020 State of Origin series will kick-off in Adelaide for the first time in history with Adelaide Oval hosting the opening match on Wednesday, 4 November.

Public Transport

Your ticket to the game is also your ticket to FREE travel on dedicated Express bus, train and tram services. Make getting to and from the game easy, leave the car at home.

Please note: The Gawler rail line will be closed between Adelaide and Salisbury. Trains will continue to operate between Salisbury and Gawler Central with substitute buses between Adelaide and Salisbury. Additional substitute buses will operate before and after the match to cater for additional State of Origin passenger loadings. Gawler line passengers can also access the AOX15 and AO15 services to Adelaide Oval.

The Adelaide Railway Station northern entrance will be open from 5pm.

 

Car Parking

Car Parks: Open 4:45pm

Casual parking will be available in the following locations subject to availability ($20 payable by card on entry).

  • North Car Park – Access via Pennington Terrace
  • East Car Park – Access via King William Road
  • Uni Lane Car Park – Access via Pennington Terrace
  • Oval No 2 – Access via Montefiore Road

Road Closures

The following road closures will be in place for this event:

War Memorial Drive: 4:00pm – 10:30pm
King William Road: 9:00pm – 10:30pm
Pennington Terrace: 9:00pm – 10:30pm
North Terrace: 9:15pm – 10:30pm Victoria Street to King William Road


COVIDSafe Measures

Adelaide Oval has collaborated with SA Health and SAPOL to put in place measures to ensure events are as safe as possible.

To a certain degree, these measures will only work if everyone plays their part in keeping Adelaide Oval COVIDSafe.

Contact Us

Ticketek is the only authorised ticketing agent for all major events at Adelaide Oval. Tickets to all Adelaide Oval events (excluding memberships) must be purchased via Ticketek.

Visit Ticketek

Adelaide Oval ticket offices are open on major event days, generally from half an hour prior to gates opening. Ticketek staff will be on site during events to facilitate ticket sales, collections and enquiries.

Important information about ticket on-sellers (eg Viagogo)

Ticket on-selling agencies – such as Viagogo, Stubhub, Ticketmaster Resale etc – are not authorised ticket sellers for Adelaide Oval. It is strongly recommended that Adelaide Oval tickets are only purchased through the authorised agent, Ticketek. Tickets purchased through unauthorised ticket on-sellers are not guaranteed admission and avenues of recourse are not available through Adelaide Oval, Ticketek or the relevant event promoter. All enquiries regarding tickets purchased through these channels should be directed back to the ticket on-seller.

Given the current SA Health imposed limitations on capacity, every patron entering the venue will require a ticket.

Patrons are allowed to bring small quantities of food and non-alcoholic beverages for personal use only. As per the Adelaide Oval Conditions of Entry, visitors are not allowed to bring in eskies of any size or type (including foam eskies), cans, tins, metal containers, glass bottles, glass containers or alcoholic drinks. Please note that there is no self-catering in corporate facilities.

Wilson Parking operates two car parks at Adelaide Oval on non-event days:

North Car Park

  • Access via Pennington Terrace
  • Open 24/7 (subject to change on event days)
  • Wilson Parking offers a $10 Book-A-Bay Car Park in the North Car Park on non-event days. For more information please visit wilsonparking.com.au

East Car Park

  • Access via King William Road (north-bound lanes only)
  • Open 6am – midnight (subject to change on event days)
