Adelaide Oval food, wine and beer destinations Five Regions Restaurant and Malt Shovel Taphouse have been recognised as some of South Australia’s best, each taking home an award at last night’s 2021 AHA Awards for Excellence Gala Dinner.
Oval Hotel fine dining offering Five Regions was named SA’s top hotel restaurant, awarded best Restaurant – Accommodation Division, while riverbank favourite Malt Shovel Taphouse won for Draught Beer Quality.

Five Regions Restaurant is located at Adelaide Oval’s Oval Hotel, with a dining room that boasts views of the hallowed turf and a degustation menu that changes every two months in line with the restaurant’s partner winery.
This is the second prestigious accolade for the restaurant since opening its doors in September 2020, after being awarded two hats in this year’s Australian Good Food Guide Awards.
Malt Shovel Taphouse has received multiple awards for its exclusive craft beers, great food and relaxed riverside atmosphere since its establishment in 2018.
