In a coup for the Adelaide Oval Stadium Management Authority, the name of one of the world’s finest automotive brands will grace part of the Oval.
German luxury brand Audi has secured naming rights sponsorship of the Audi Stadium Club in the Eastern Stand through a new two-year agreement with Audi Australia and the Solitaire Automotive Group.
When the stand opens in March 2014, the 1455-seat Audi Stadium Club will deliver its corporate members branded seating in the second tier of the Eastern Stand with exclusive access to a range of food and beverage options including a 5-star restaurant, the John Halbert Room and the Rick Davies Bar.
Members will have fully transferable access to all scheduled cricket and football as well as priority for other events at Adelaide Oval.
Adelaide Oval SMA General Manager Commercial Darren Chandler said the agreement was further evidence of the corporate appeal of the redeveloped stadium.
“The response from corporate South Australia to the new Adelaide Oval has been excellent,” Mr Chandler said.
“Our 34 corporate suites were snapped up by August, and we are close to selling the last of the available memberships within the Audi Stadium Club. We are thrilled Audi has come on board to add further lustre to what is already proving to be a hugely popular and unique corporate product in Adelaide.”
Under the agreement Audi will also be a Premier Partner of Adelaide Oval. David Smoker, Managing Director of the Solitaire Automotive Group, said the Audi Stadium Club sponsorship was an ideal fit for the premium brand.
“Audi’s brand values are progressiveness, sportiness and sophistication, and the new-look Adelaide Oval is very much a reflection of those qualities,” he said.
“In particular, the Audi Stadium Club is a corporate membership product unlike anything that’s been seen before. We are delighted to be partnering with the Adelaide Oval for our Audi customers, and we’re excited about the opportunities the sponsorship of the Audi Stadium Club will bring.”
