Adelaide Oval debuts packed new gameday kiosk menu for 2023 AFL Season.
- New gameday kiosk menu launched ahead of round one including 18 new food options and 10 new beverage choices at the bar, introduction of Soonta outlet.
- Menu focused on increased variety, quality and use of South Australian suppliers including Riveria Bakery, Thomas Farms, Poultry Boss and Barossa Fine Foods.
- No changes to fan favourites offering such as pies, hot chips, soft drinks, water, full strength beer – prices for these items also remain unchanged from 2022/23 cricket season.
Fans headed to Adelaide Oval can expect more variety, quality and local produce than ever before as the stadium launches a huge new kiosk menu just in time for the first bounce of the 2023 AFL Season.
Gourmet burgers packed with South Australian ingredients, fresh salads and rolls, house-made pizzas and more will be available at kiosks across the venue from round one alongside the usual fan favourites such as pies and hot chips.
The stadium will also welcome a standalone Soonta outlet in the Eastern Stand as it looks to introduce new branded retail options alongside its ever-popular Ben & Jerry’s outlet. Soonta will be serving fresh, healthy Vietnamese favourites such as banh mi rolls and salad bowls.
And to wash it all down, Adelaide Oval’s continued can trial has allowed for the introduction of additional non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverage options including new craft beers, alcohol free and gluten free beer, premixed drinks, energy drinks and more.
“Everything we do at Adelaide Oval is geared towards giving fans the best possible live event experience and elevating it far beyond what they’d enjoy at home on the couch,” Adelaide Oval CEO Nick Addison said.
“While a bucket of hot chips and a pint of beer is still a staple at the footy, our new kiosk and bar menu gives fans what they’ve been asking for – more variety and absolute top quality.
“It’s our hope that fans will be excited when they walk into the stadium and see what’s on offer – South Australians expect the best when it comes to food, and that’s what we’ll be serving up.”
Different outlets across the stadium will offer different selections of products, with all items made in house and fresh to order where possible – allowing for improved catering to dietary requirements.
The design and roll out of the new menu has been overseen by Adelaide Oval Executive Chef Philip Pope and newly appointed Retail Chef Chris Militz, responsible for its gameday delivery.
“Adelaide Oval has a well-earned reputation for plating up the very best in food and beverage when it comes to our Functions & Events, Oval Hotel and restaurant menus. While we have always focused on quality and consistency in our game day offering, this new menu takes things to a new level and shows a real consideration for what fans want,” Chef Pope said.
“We have always been passionate about working with local suppliers, and we’re delighted to be ramping that up with the introduction of more local produce on our retail menu.”
Adelaide Oval is also continuing to enhance the kiosk experience through new technology to speed up service. A new ‘can only’ bar will be introduced on the southern concourse from round one, with updates to point of sale technology expected later in the AFL season.
