the NRL has made a decision to postpone this year’s Holden State of Origin series.

STATEMENT FROM THE NRL

The NRL’s 2020 Season is currently suspended until the 28th May due to the spread of the COVID-19 virus.  This has impacted a number of events including the regular NRL Telstra Premiership Season, as well as the Holden State of Origin Series.  The decision to suspend the season has been made in order to protect both the health and safety of our players, fans and partners.

Accordingly, the NRL has made a decision to postpone this year’s Holden State of Origin series until after this year’s Grand Final, which is scheduled to take place on 25th October.  The NRL is continuing an extensive amount of consultation over the coming weeks with its Broadcast and Government partners, Clubs, and other key stakeholders in order to finalise the schedule for this year’s Holden State of Origin series.
