Vale Keith Bradshaw

It is with enormous sadness that we mourn the passing of Keith Bradshaw.

Keith has been an integral part of the Adelaide Oval story since being appointed as CEO of the South Australian Cricket Association in 2012.

He came to Adelaide Oval after spending seven years at the helm at Lord’s, where he was the first non-Englishman to serve as Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Marylebone Cricket Club.

He brought with him not only enormous experience but also humility. As he had throughout his cricket career with Tasmania, he always saw himself as a team player first and foremost.

Keith was also a leader. As was noted when he was recently awarded SACA Honorary Life Membership, he was a pioneer in the development of the pink ball and was instrumental in Adelaide Oval becoming the first venue in the world to host a day-night Test in 2015.

He helped the Strikers become the best-attended team in the BBL, he championed the development of female cricket and he dedicated himself to ensuring Adelaide Oval always delivered the world’s best cricket experience for members and patrons.

He knew how to work with others, and we loved working with him.

On behalf of the entire Adelaide Oval team, we pass on our deepest sympathies to Keith’s family, to our friends at SACA and to everyone across the cricket community.
