Adelaide Oval will celebrate a milestone attendance figure during the Port Adelaide v Geelong game on Saturday, 22 June when it welcomes its 10 millionth patron since the redeveloped stadium opened in December 2013.
The lucky 10 millionth fan will win the ultimate prize – access for two people to all major events at Adelaide Oval in the next 12 months, seated in the Audi Stadium Club.
Included in this amazing prize is access to events such as Metallica, U2, Queen + Adam Lambert as well as State of Origin, International T20, the Australia v Pakistan Domain Test as well as a BBL match and a Crows and Power AFL game, in what will be a truly action-packed year.
“It’s been more than five years since the redeveloped Adelaide Oval opened and we’re delighted people continue to come through the gates in such strong numbers, whether it’s to support their team or attend an event,” said Adelaide Oval SMA Chairman, Rear Admiral the Honourable Kevin Scarce.
“The atmosphere at the Oval on major event days is electric and it’s why we see patrons coming back again and again.
“To have 10 million people visit Adelaide Oval is something we can all be proud of and we’d like to take this opportunity to thank South Australians for their incredible support of this great asset.”
Attendances since the Oval reopened for the Ashes Test match in December 2013 include: – Cricket: 2,262,930 – Football: 5,927,981 – Soccer: 284,381 – Concerts: 311,565 – Major Events: 258,397 – Functions & Events (non-game day): 655,089 – Tourism (RoofClimb, Tours, Bradman Collection & Hill of Grace Restaurant): 287,751 TOTAL: 9,988,094
“Adelaide Oval’s Tourism and Functions & Events offerings have also been significant contributors to this overall attendance figure,” Mr Scarce said.
“Over the past five years we’ve introduced initiatives such as RoofClimb, the LED lighting upgrade and unique events such as Adelaide Oval Stadium Golf to ensure people continue to visit the Oval and have the best fan experience possible.”
The celebrate the 10 millionth fan milestone, The Advertiser and Sunday Mail in conjunction with Adelaide Oval and its Education Partner Torrens University, are giving fans the chance to vote for the Top 20 Memorable Moments that have shaped Adelaide Oval’s history.

There are 40 choices to pick from and the top 20 moments (as voted for by the public) will be displayed in the Riverbank Stand at Adelaide Oval as part of a collaboration with Torrens University, the Oval’s Education Partner.
