Showdown 52 to be the biggest game of the year

Adelaide Oval is closing out the 2022 Toyota AFL season with the biggest round of the year, featuring not one, but two Showdowns.

The doubleheader on Saturday 20 August is sure to finish the season with a bang, with a 50,000+ crowd expected for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

Fans are encouraged to arrive at Adelaide Oval when gates open at 3pm to watch the SANFL Showdown Curtain Raiser between the Magpies and Crows at 3:20pm. The Crows will be hoping to secure a top two finish ahead of SANFL finals at Adelaide Oval this September.

Then at 7pm, Port and the Crows will compete for bragging rights under lights in their final AFL match of the season, in what will be the Showdown specialist, Robbie Gray’s, final AFL game.

Make sure you don’t miss a moment like the Showdown thriller in Round Three, which was won after the siren thanks to a bending goal from Adelaide’s Jordan Dawson – if you’ve got a ticket, get here early and enjoy the SANFL Showdown too.

Please note there will be limited car parking available at Adelaide Oval tomorrow. See more information about that, along with all match details for the Showdown Doubleheader, below.
