The Adelaide Football Club is bound for the 2017 Toyota AFL Grand Final after tonight’s stunning win over Geelong at Adelaide Oval.
In a game for the history books, a record 53,817 fans witnessed the Crows claim victory in Adelaide Oval’s first AFL Preliminary Final.
Adelaide Oval SMA Chief Executive Officer Andrew Daniels said the night was a huge success for all South Australians as fans cheered on the Crows to a convincing win.
“Congratulations to the Adelaide Football Club on securing their 2017 Toyota AFL Grand Final berth, the Club’s first since 1998,” he said.
“The atmosphere at tonight’s game was simply electric. Overall, crowd behaviour was excellent and I’d like to commend the entire Adelaide Oval team for delivering an outstanding experience for patrons,” Mr Daniels said.
Adelaide Oval staff are now looking ahead to the coming week as Grand Final footy fever takes the city by storm.
“We look forward to continuing to support the Crows in their premiership endeavour with a number of upcoming events, including a free family event on Grand Final day on the Telstra Plaza,” Mr Daniels said.
If you can’t be at the ‘G, Adelaide Oval is the place to be to celebrate the 2017 Toyota AFL Grand Final.
Hospitality packages are available in rooms overlooking the Oval and the game will be playing on the big screens in the rooms and in the stadium.
A live site will also be set up on Telstra Plaza with entertainment for kids, food and beverage outlets and the game will be playing on the big screens. Entry is free and the whole family is welcome.
